Cosmo-Project

The COSMO-PROJECT was founded by former members of the MALZ-Computergruppe.

The idea for COSMO-PROJECT was born by the need of meeting people with main interests within the computer technology.

In august 1996 the first project started; a robot should be born. Everything, from the electronic to the mechanical parts should be handmade. Caused by these circumstances the members got an enormous knowledge on microprograming and hardwaredevelopement. The range of interests automaticly grew. Later the own networkinstalations got bigger and brought a more intensive work with different network-os and espacialy FreeBSD. In the meantime nearly all members were working with networks on their jobs. So we not only got a mix of professional informations and private interests, but also a mix of networkproblematics and -soliutions. Today FreeBSD surely is the favorite point of our work, allthough different themes also appear and are likely discussed.

Now that work for two years went on in a rather private circle it's getting time to bring the COSMO-PROJECT further another step into public light. New Ideas, suggestions and other opinions to well known themes are always wellcome. This not only is a possibility to participate on our knowlege, but also a possibility to bring your own into the community.
